I think since the server is so small at the moment that a battleground quick que button on the hot bar would be useful. This way you do not have to run to your Warsong Gulch pvp area to enter a battleground. Could be removed later in vanilla once server population is higher.

Already there - no change needed. Battlemasters stand in the cities on both realms: the Silverwing, Warsong, Stormpike, Frostwolf, Arathor and Defilers emissaries, 295 of them in all. Talk to one and you queue from where you stand, no run to the Warsong entrance. A button on the action bar is not something a server can add, that part belongs to the client. We will say where they stand in the next patch notes.

If you do /who you can sometimes see level 2s in Eastern Plaguelands. These are characters placed out in safe spots where they can camp chests. Then they profit off the high level materials looted from the chests. This is a very small server. It's unfair if a select few are able to profit off high level materials, ending up with several hundreds of gold above everyone else that stay farming at the appropriate levels. These select few will have an unfair advantage, for example being able to buy their mount at lvl 40 and 60 way before everyone else. The solution is to put a level cap on chests, that is adjusted to the zone that the chests are in. For example, putting a level 50 requirement on chests in Eastern Plaguelands. If possible, the profit that these characters have gained should also be reversed.

Accepted in part. Chests in high level zones will get a level requirement, so a level 2 parked in the Eastern Plaguelands cannot farm them any more. It needs a script and a hand-checked list of which chests belong to which zone, so it will take a little while. Reversing the gold already made is not something we will do - we cannot tell honest farming from camping after the fact, and guessing would punish the wrong people.

As the title says. There aren't too many people in the server atm, and making groups is not so easy as it would seem. So the chance of finding rare bosses in the dungeons is way too slim. Increasing it would benefit everyone without altering the balance, i think.

Accepted. Dungeon rares now spawn every time instead of rolling a chance - Miner Johnson, Blind Hunter, Bruegal, Jed Runewatcher, the Spirestone lords, Pyromancer Loregrain, Panzor, Skul, Stonespine, Meshlok, Lord Roccor and more: 22 of them, on both realms. In the Scarlet Monastery graveyard one of the three rares is guaranteed and the other six spots stay a roll, or the place would be nothing but rares. Lands with the next maintenance restart.

Hello guys, I propose to completely remove the debuff and buff limits. Arguments For Removing Buff/Debuff Caps : - Historical context: The debuff andbuff caps were hardware and engine limitations of 2004, not intentional design choices. - Class equity: Allows Warlocks to cast all curses, Hunters to use Hunter's Mark, and Druids/Priests to use damage-over-time spells without griefing raid members. - Healing freedom: Prevents Resto Druids and Holy Priests from being penalized for using Healing over Time (HoT) spells like Rejuvenation or Renew, which otherwise eat up vital buff slots. - Quality of life: Eliminates the annoying need for "cancel aura" macros and stress over accidental spell overwrites. Removing it would increase build diversity and make the game more enjoyable by: - Allowing more class variety in raids - Letting players use their full ability toolkit - Reducing the need for complex debuff coordination - Making certain specs more viable without hurting overall game balance

Not taken up - and not because of the vote, which was 27 for and 4 against. There is no switch to throw. The 32 buff and 16 debuff slots are a fixed array in the 1.12 client itself, not a server setting, so raising them would mean changing the client. Worth knowing: when the slots are full the aura still applies and still works, it just has no icon. The cap costs you visibility, not effect.

Hey everyone, Odin here! Guild Banks are something we really need in the game; and most of us believe it would be a greater addition to the game earlier than later. Especially since the game will eventually advance to Wrath of the Lich King, I believe it would be wise to utilize its functions early on, to minimize feature difficulties in the future. A Guild Bank would allow Guilds such as our <The Scarlet Crusade> to be able to place random BOEs, Consumables and Raw material in one tab, allowing new as well as older members to be able to take some out, to help not just in their leveling, but in their crafting as well. Its also great to be able to stockpile certain materials for Guild Artisans to utilize and in turn exchange for Potions, Elixirs and Consumables alike back inside, for us to distribute it accordingly to members that needs them for crafting or dungeons/raids. I see only positives with having a Guild Bank, however in TBC and Wrath; I believe it costed something like 9200 gold or something to max it out. So perhaps it would be a good idea to Nerf the price of upgrading the Guild bank from: - 100g to 50g for the first tab. 250g to 125g for the second tab and from 500g to 375g for the third tab. Then continue with the original prices at 1000, 2500 and 5000 for the 4-5-6th tabs. Because then we could plausibly with the help of the entire Guild, upgrade the Guild bank in Vanilla to 3 slots, and then as we go towards TBC and Wrath, we'd be able to upgrade it further, progressively speaking. Thoughts? <3 This also applies for raw materials such as Ore, Leather, Herbs and more.

Accepted for Barrens, from The Burning Crusade onward. Guild banks do not exist in the 1.12 client - there is no window and no protocol for them, so they cannot be built into Vanilla however much we want them. Barrens is the progressive realm and reaches TBC, and the guild bank arrives with it there. Elwynn stays as it was. Thank you for making the case so carefully.

I know what you guys will say, “Its not what we want, its not Vanilla, we want everyone to look like we’re playing Vanilla”, etc. And I agree with you all, 100%. So hear me out, okay? Disconnect your Tiktok brain and keep reading! Some Private Servers have this thing called “Optional Transmogrification.” and that means that you get to pick whether you want yourself and/or everyone else to have their Transmog Enabled or Disabled. This means that if for example I have my transmog ENABLED, you guys who have it DISABLED, will see me as if i had it DISABLED as well. --NOTHING CHANGES-- for those of you who who wants the authentic Vanilla experience. It only means that for those who wants to look a certain way, can choose to do so --WITHOUT AFFECTING THE EXPERIENCE OF OTHERS-- I for example love Roleplaying and would love if my Mage could look like a Wizard on a whim for RP events that I will organize with the Guild and others who are interested. Instead of having to save the 50+ pieces in my already full Bank; for various sets, etc. We can solve this very easily. People who dont want Transmog, have no reason to reject this other than being sour. People who want this. Can get to play the game their way. Keep in mind; there are already Addons and MPQ mods that changes the Vanilla game’s models and more, etc. There are even some versions of Stonetavern that looks different than what it did back in 2004. ...Soooo some, if not most of you are already not playing the Authentic Vanilla experience, and/or choosing to not nitpick that because of selective biases. Neither of these options changes YOUR experience, so if you do reject my Suggestion, please @Odin on Discord and tell me why this would be a bad addition to the game? <3 At the end of the day, we are here to have fun together; so why do -you- stand in the way of fun? ;D -Odin

Hello guys. Odin here. I posted this on Discord before. But here we go. So Ive been talking with the Guild in regards to the next phase and in regards to the next Phase for Barrens, that is to say; when we are to supposedly go to level 29. My suggestion is that we instead go for level 30. Theres a few reasons for this, 1.) Twinks can do twink pvp at level 30, as they will be in the 30-39 bracket, but since its locked to level 30; they would just pvp with other 30s. In the next phase after that, people who are leveling would be in the leveling bracket for pvp 30-39; while the leveling 40s would be in the level 40 bracket and so on! Besides; right now theres not really any PVP going on within Battlegrounds or barely any Wpvp either anyway; since most dont know where to go to queue for WSG; and some die along the way anyway; so we feel that the OG Twink brackets are sorta pointless, as most of us just do PVE content at this point instead and most of us love it. 2.) Most of the gear from Dungeons such as SM Graveyard, which a lot of us are looking forward to; is gear level locked at level 30 on the ddot. This applies as a recurring theme all the way to level 60. I feel like, while I do love the brackets, i think they should be changed to 19-30-40-50-60. Simply because we are losing out on a lot of Items, skills and the like that would make these brackets a lot more fun. Take this phase for example. We missed out on Cat form for Druids. Blink and Blizzard for Mages, the Paladin hammer quest for them. These things would have all made this phase more enjoyable and allowed for more community support. Some of you might say to “look forward to the next phase to equip an item or to learn a skill, etc.” But let me ask you guys. Is it fun to have seven items in your bank, that you can’t equip until the following phase, just to have them replaced by a green item 3 levels later in the same phase? The answer is no. It feels more lackluster if anything. It makes you not wanna do more dungeons because you know they won’t give you or your guildies an upgrade. It’s something to think about you guys! Since the population is low, the auctionhouse feels kinda empty. Thats why i recommend to increase putting up the auction time from 24h to 1 week. that way the auctionhouse will become much more filled.

Change the brackets to every 10 levels (20-30-40-50-60) instead of the 9th. And do the next bracket soon. We're already seeing population diminish due to sheer boredom. This allows for big jumps in talents and skills while opening up additional content in the world to farm. There isn't a high enough population to worry about BG brackets currently and even if there were... allows there to be a 20-29 bracket and a level 30 only bracket for those trying to push. Can always be adjust back the next bracket but I don't see the problem in it. Even more so we're on older patches so you have to physically que for BG's at the portal which nobody is doing or will do. Even with the implementation of battlemaster's, I would be there still wouldn't be enough for BG's or they would be minimal. Open world farming and dungeon grouping seems to be the only content available right now. Please vote in support of this to get more attention to it.

Hi! I would suggest to pick a launch date for Project Barrens after the EU summer holidays. But before Blizzcon 2026, sep 12-13. So far my experience on Elwynn has been great. Stable and good community. Hope it keeps growing. You're doing a great job! //Gegga

I know it's not there in vanilla, but it makes the game totally unplayable for group, which is quite the opposite of the spirit. Shared quest item (everyone can loot the same quest item) encourage people to play together instead of solo.

Accepted in principle - shared quest-item looting for a party (everyone can loot the same quest object) is exactly the group-friendly direction we want. Because it changes quest loot for every party member it needs careful testing before it goes live, so it will take a while to land - but the answer is yes.

Not taken up. We keep classes true to Vanilla 1.12 rather than re-tuning specs (Ret/Feral/Boomkin and the rest), and the vote leaned the same way. Vanilla is what it is, warts and all - that is the realm we run.

Not taken up. Drop tables stay in their authentic Vanilla 1.12 state; we would rather not bolt items onto loot that were not there then, even at a novelty .001 rate, and the vote leaned against too. Faithfulness wins over a rare surprise drop here.

Not taken up - the clearest no on the floor (24 against). A hardcore / self-found mode is a whole separate ruleset to build and police, and it splits an already small population. We would rather keep one healthy shared realm than fragment it - nothing stops you running self-imposed hardcore rules yourself.

On a server that progresses through patches the legacy unarmored epic mounts can be purchased up until patch 1.4 To recreate this with stonetavern timeline these mounts could be made available on the vendors until Phase II

Accepted - and largely already true. The epic racial mounts are sold on the usual racial vendors right now (Swift Palomino, Swift Brown Ram, the Kodos, Raptors, Mechanostriders and the rest), and they stay purchasable through Phase II as asked. If faster mounts are ever gated behind progression later, these legacy ones remain available until Phase II.

I think that having small, but meaningful changes to the game can go a long way. 1.Chat between Horde and Alliance as well as ability for them to group up together for PvE content. Another thing can be an Auction House that is the same between Horde, Alliance and Goblin cities. These are things that can be a fix for the small population of the server, others like Turtle WoW did it in their hay day and it helped a lot to put the server on the map. 2.Small changes to talent trees to make other builds more attractive, but without going too far and adding new talents or spells/abilities to the game, just boosting some stats in talent trees that aren't used, like Arcane Mage, Survival Hunter, etc. I think such a small change will be very beneficial in the long term to allow people to have more diverse and different builds and not everyone using just one build and one set of gear. The changes have to be very subtle, but very meaningful. For example if a talent increases damage by 5% if 5 points are invested, the change should not got further than 10% at 5 points invested to make things more balanced and not too grandiose. 3.Remaining a Vanilla server forever and not going for future expansions like TBC or WoTLK. I think that servers who go this route eventually lose their population and die out. The appeal of a server is that it is based on one expansion and one expansion alone, this gathers like-minded players together and I think should remain this way. The server being Vanilla, PvE and x1 XP rate already makes is very appealing. I see it as very simple and clean experience, from this point on it needs to attract more people, but without official promotion, it needs to have the right set of features that will make players want to play and they should be the ones to post about it online and share how much fun they're having and from there other people can learn about it, get curious and join in. XP rate should always remain x1, PvE should always be the default and as long as those things don't change, more people will be interested in playing here, I think that there are a lot of servers who have x2 or x3 XP rate and it detracts many people from playing there, because they feel the rate at which they gain XP is too fast.

Stonetavern stays a faithful Vanilla 1.12 realm; the deliberate quality-of-life tweaks we do run are listed at /cross-faction, but a broader Vanilla-Plus direction (new items, reworked abilities, custom systems) is out of scope for now. Worth raising - the door is not bolted forever - but the answer today is no.

Accepted. Instant mail is coming - the one-hour delivery delay drops to zero, so items and gold arrive the moment they are sent. It lands with the next maintenance restart (a server setting that only takes effect on restart). Proposal #12 was the same ask, merged here.

Instant mail please! At least maybe between accounts only but my opinion should be realm wide. There is no downside to it and later expansions made it embedded into the game.

Paladin is a very popular class right now and it makes it almost impossible for shaman to find a group. There are a few options: 1. Just ignore it. Vanilla has been easy mode for decades at this point, shaman and paladin buffs stacking in leveling dungeons really doesn't matter. If the plan is to go back to split factions for raiding then there is not raiding implications. 2. Add code to make shaman totems not work for anyone with an active paladin blessing. This should be the easiest fix and allow the player to choose if they want to use blessing or totems but dispelling any paladin buffs cast on themselves. 3. Add code to make specific buffs not stack, I think this is how a lot of other servers have handled it. Wisdom/Mana Spring don't stack and might/strength of earth/grace of air don't stack. This is a more complete solution but would require more coding.

Accepted. Paladins and Shamans can now share a party or raid and run dungeons together: the buff pairs that would unfairly stack across factions are made mutually exclusive - you get one of the pair, not both - instead of blocking the group. Full list at /cross-faction.

Please remove the AH deposit and set the AH duration multiplier to 7x. This will make it more attractive to list items on the AH because there is no gold lost if the item doesn't sell and allowing items to stay on the AH for 7d instead of 1d gives it more time for players to see it. I have seen this implemented on other private servers and it works well. I think these are the relevant mangosd.conf settings: Rate.Auction.Time = 7 Rate.Auction.Deposit = 0

Accepted in part. Auction listings now last about 7x longer (a 24h slot runs roughly a week) so items have time to sell on a quiet market. The deposit stays - charged on the in-game duration you pick, not the longer real time - a small sink we keep for now. Eases back toward Vanilla as the realm fills up.

Reducing or capping, or even eliminating the cost to Reset Talents. If this is a small community game, being able to swap into other talents without creating a gold-sink will keep end game content open to flexibility. When I played Vanilla, I had to level 2 or more characters of the same class to avoid having to spend hundreds of gold just to swap roles

Accepted. Respec cost is now capped at 25 gold (down from 50) - the steep end of the curve halved - so swapping roles stays affordable. We keep a small cost rather than removing it entirely, to preserve the gold sink.
