Stonetavern

Realm progression

This is the road, decided and written down. Elwynn runs the finished 1.12.1 ruleset from launch — talents, balance, PvP and the interface are already final — and the roadmap does one thing: it unseals raid and dungeon doors, one at a time, from Molten Core to Naxxramas across about fifteen months. When Naxxramas opens, Elwynn is fully unlocked Vanilla, permanently. Barrens is the shared journey through Classic, The Burning Crusade and Wrath, with level gates published in advance.

Set, and written down — including the end. The roadmap below is fixed, and so is what follows it: nothing. Elwynn has no reset, no season and no expansion ahead of it, and there is no vote to be had about that. Ask about the road on Discord — the realm Council decides Barrens' road, never Elwynn's.

One client, and the finished 1.12.1 ruleset from your first login — talents, balance, PvP, the debuff cap and the interface are already final and never change. The only thing staged is a handful of raid and dungeon doors: Molten Core and Onyxia open on the community gate, then Dire Maul, Blackwing Lair, Zul’Gurub, Ahn’Qiraj and Naxxramas across roughly fifteen months. When Naxxramas opens, Elwynn is fully unlocked Vanilla — permanently.

In simple words

Simple words: the game is already the finished version. Your character, your buttons and the rules never change. We only unlock the big raid doors one at a time — the last one, Naxxramas, about fifteen months after the first. After that everything stays open forever. No restart, no new season, no expansion.

  1. Launch

    The Climb

    Open now

Levelling 1–60 — every leveling dungeon open, the raids sealed

The realm opens to level first; the gated endgame instances stay shut. The 80×60 gate lives here — Molten Core and Onyxia open 2 weeks after 80 accounts reach level 60. 🔴 This head-count gate opens the FIRST raids only; every chapter after it is on the clock below, not on a player count.

  2. Gate + 2 weeks

    Embers of the Mountain

    Up next

    Molten Core · Onyxia's Lair

2 weeks after the gate is met — 80 accounts at level 60. The Mountain and the Broodmother open together, and this day is the zero point: every chapter below is counted from it.

  3. ≈ Month 2

    The Dire Maul

    Sealed

    Dire Maul

    A 5-man catch-up step that lifts the whole roster — not a day-0 freebie.

  4. ≈ Month 5

    The Black Flight

    Sealed

    Blackwing Lair

Nefarian's brood, and the first of the big raids. It opens before Zul'Gurub, the order the instances themselves were built in.

  5. ≈ Month 8

    Edge of the Gods

    Sealed

    Zul'Gurub (20)

The Atal'ai stir in the heart of Stranglethorn. Zul'Gurub sits alongside Blackwing Lair rather than replacing it — a second raid night for a roster that has one.

  6. ≈ Month 11

    The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj

    Sealed

    Ahn'Qiraj — Temple (40) · Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj (20)

The War Effort comes first — the whole realm builds toward the Gong before the gates ever open. It is the opening ceremony for two instances, not a change of ruleset.

  7. ≈ Month 15

    The Fall of Naxxramas

    Sealed

    Naxxramas

🔴 The FINAL unlock. The necropolis stands above the plaguelands, and when it opens Elwynn's progression is finished — there is no chapter after this one, only the permanent state below.

Months are counted from the day Molten Core and Onyxia open — not from realm launch, which is community-gated and has no fixed length.

Not in the world right now

The world bosses, and the day they come back

Azuregos, Lord Kazzak and the Dragons of Nightmare are not spawned on Elwynn today. That is a decision, not an oversight, and it has an end: each of them returns with the chapter that matches the patch it came from. Nothing about them is left to a later announcement.

  • Azuregos · Lord Kazzak

Comes back with The Dire Maul (≈ Month 2)

  • The Dragons of Nightmare

Comes back with The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj (≈ Month 11)

After Naxxramas

Full Vanilla, permanently.

Elwynn stays exactly here. This is not an open ending that we have yet to fill in — it is the end of the progression and the permanent state of the realm, and it is the whole reason the realm exists.

What holds, with no end date

  • Every planned Vanilla raid and dungeon is open
  • The level cap stays 60
  • The ruleset stays 1.12.1 — the one the realm launched on
  • Your characters stay exactly where they are

And what never comes

  • No reset and no wipe
  • No seasons
  • No TBC, and no expansion after it
  • No community vote on what comes next
