Stonetavern is free and always will be. We earn nothing from it — the realm just costs a little to run each month. If it gives you joy and you want to chip in toward that, you can. If you can't, play on with our blessing; nothing here is gated behind a gift.

What a gift does — and doesn't

  • It helps cover the server's running costs — hosting, backups, the domain.
  • Whatever is left after that goes into being seen: paid placements on the big WoW server lists, so people can find us at all. More people looking in means a fuller world for everyone already here.
  • It buys nothing in the game — no rank, no gold, no item, no queue skip, not even a cosmetic. Everyone plays the same unchanged Vanilla, donor or not.
  • We don't profit. A gift only ever goes into the realm — running it, and helping people find it — never into anyone's pocket.

Stonetavern is a tavern, and a tavern lives by its fire. It burns as long as someone lays on another log — that is the whole of what a gift is here. No rank, no advantage, no invoice: one more log on the fire, and a name in the book.
