A Vanilla WoW PvE server, one shared world
Stonetavern is a free, non-commercial Vanilla PvE server hosted in the EU. If you want to experience Azeroth at its original pace — questing, dungeons, and the 40-man raids the realm opens as a community — without the constant interruption of forced world PvP, this is your realm.
PvE the way Vanilla intended
On a PvE realm you flag for PvP only when you choose to. That means you can quest contested zones, farm professions and explore the world without being camped. The danger of Vanilla is still there — elite mobs, deadly pulls, long corpse runs — it just comes from the world, not from gankers.
EU-hosted, low latency
Stonetavern is hosted in the EU for stable, low-latency play across European time zones. One shared world means the population is concentrated where you are, not split across layers, so dungeons fill and the world feels alive.
Raids and dungeons, fully scripted
From Deadmines to Molten Core and Onyxia, the PvE content is installed, scripted and tuned the way Vanilla was. The dungeons are open today. The raids are not yet: they unlock once 80 accounts each own a character at level 60, and then 2 weeks pass, so the realm walks in together rather than one guild walking in alone. Where that count stands is shown on the Elwynn realm page. Form a guild and build a roster in the meantime — no shortcuts, no boosts.
Questions
- Is this a PvE or PvP realm?
- PvE — you control when you flag for PvP. The world's danger comes from mobs and dungeons.
- Where is the server hosted?
- In the EU, for stable low-latency play across European time zones.
- Is there a population for dungeons and raids?
- Yes — one shared world (no layering) keeps the population concentrated and groups forming. The dungeons run today; the raids open on the realm's shared threshold.
- When do the raids open?
- Once 80 accounts each own a character at level 60, and then 2 weeks later. Dungeons stay open the whole time, and the Elwynn realm page shows where the count stands.
- Does it cost anything?
- No, completely free and non-commercial, with no shop.
